Tahoe Sunnyside Cabin
Welcome! We have prepared this guide to help you with the rental cabin.
Beautiful and sunny 2 story charming rustic Tahoe wood cabin/house at the best location in Tahoe City, California a few homes away from Lake Tahoe.
WinterAbout 5 mins drive to Homewood ski resort (cheaper lift tickets and best view of Lake Tahoe from a ski resort) and 15 mins to Alpine Meadows Ski Resort and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. Drive into downtown Tahoe City in about 5 mins for a quaint picturesque winter small town feel with restaurants, bars, a movie theatre and grocery stores. Cozy up by the fireplace with hot chocolate, drinks and dinner (great Kahula mudd pie and famous zucchini sticks) at Sunnyside Resort and Restaurant a around the corner. Order in dinner at Spoon around the corner from the house.
SummerAbout 6 houses from the lake (Sunnyside Resort Beach Bar Dock), a few houses from the paved bike path, Westshore Market (delicious sandwiches, pastries, gelato) and Firesign Cafe (best breakfast in Tahoe) and Spoon Restaurant.
Leave the car at the house, avoid the summertime traffic/parking fees, and walk to Sunnyside resort/beach, Firesign Cafe, Kilner Park, paved bike paths, etc during summer. Walk to Westshore Sports to rent paddleboards, kayaks, boats, jetskis, etc. Tube the Truckee River. Stroll along Tahoe City's cute shops, restaurants, and bars. TART bus to ski resort stops in front of Sunnyside which takes you all over Tahoe.
Completely private and separate house from other house (only shares driveway). House is on Pineland Drive and West Lake Blvd (streetview listed on this website incorrect).

Heating: the cabin's main source of heat is the fireplace in the living room which is the best fireplace I have ever had. The upstairs rooms have plug in heaters and the dining room has a wall heater. The people sleeping downstairs may want to keep the fireplace going to maintain the heat downstairs. We haven't had to use heaters during the Spring or Summer.
